A friend sent me these hilarious responses to math tests. Thanks for sending, D!
Note: I have no idea where they originated (he got an email forward). If you know, let me know and I will credit the source.
Update: Apparently at least some of these were posted on CollegeHumor.com

UPDATE (on March 4th): Apparently, this post got “Stumbled”!! So, to make this blog more useful…

Thanks. Was in India (Madras and Bombay). Got blown away by all I saw.
How did you get an SU ping to show up? Or is that a function of the new SU?
Hey Jonathan, it is a plugin for Wordpress called Kramer. It does that. I’ve turned it off for now since my site is getting crushed by SU traffic (which is a good thing
)
Ha ha! It’s still getting crushed. That’s how I got here.
Hi found you on StumbleBuzz. Certainly creative answers.
@ Jonathan - it is finally cooling off…
@ Vic Grace - glad you enjoyed them. Hopefully you’ll visit again
Some of them are like some of my responses in my GCSE Business Studies exam i turned round and wrote an answer like - this makes no sense and i don’t care then on my AS Level general studies exam, i doodled all over my paper.
How do you expand (a b)^n ?
I could do it for n= some integer but n doesn’t seem to be defined.
@ NYAll - The answer is the Binomial Theorem. More details here — http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binomial_Theorem
If n was not defined elsewhere on the page as a specific integer, I guess the teacher was expecting the Binomial Theorem as the answer.
hey, just cause i saw you asked: all that stuff was sent in to collegehumor.com from people across the united states in different colleges.
@ Ronen - I could only find one of the images on College Humor, but I updated the post anyway. Thanks for the heads up.

2.A regular hexagon pyramid is to be made from a right circular cone such that the lateral edges of the pyramid coincide with the corresponding elements of the cone. If the diameter at the cone is equal to the height of 30 cm,find the ratio of the volume of the pyramid to that of the cone.
