Please read the post – “This is a small sign that Barack Obama is a President in touch with reality, in touch with the country that America is today.” That was the line that preceded my statement that he is an intelligent leader. He's in touch with reality – he's in touch with the multi-ethnic, multi-religious, diverse country we are now. Unlike his dimwit predecessor who only acknowledged evangelical Christians and their rights. And that is one *small* way he shows us he's intelligent. A leader has to know what and who he's dealing with and who, precisely, he's leading.

As for his policies – I've always been a fiscal conservative, but a fiscally conservative leader does not exist in the United States any more. McCain was the first one in line to vote for the Bush stimulus. So, given that, Obama is a social liberal and it is about time that we have that.

Love for environmentalism… hmm… about time we have that too. Time put the screws on Detroit and make them produce more responsibily.

What about India and Indian leaders?

Is any Indian political party or leader going to support atheists, or even theist but individual?

if Narendra Singh Modi tries to loosen ban on alcohol, Congress opposes singing gandhiji's bhajan.
More than that, if young Indians goes to pub BJP goons beat them.
Afterall its not indian or hindu culture. (no matters there are firm evidences that alcohol shops, pubs, prostitution houses and dance bars were pretty common in India during Nand Dynasty, Mauryan Dynasty, Chola and Chalukya dynasty and even in Moughal Dynasty, how can we forget Anar kali?)

Anyways thats totally different issue.

This post is about Obama and his policies. Obama is keynesian his policies will hurt America and whole world.

Recently he announced big stimulus for US economy, it will lengthen the period of crisis. Bail outs never help they creatrs further rash. His socialist stream to turn US to a welfare state will create a new USSR a failure state.
And his love for Military keynesianism, will create more wars. His love for environmentalism will starve many more poor. Overall he is a dangerous political crook.
